The AAC team provided environmental remediation services to remove asbestos-containing fireproofing from structural steel support beams within the seven-story, three-elevator shaft and penthouse control room at University Avenue Apartments in Syracuse, NY.

This complex project required the design and installation of an extensive scaffold system, including landing platforms at every level, to ensure safe access throughout the work area. Over the course of the project, the team successfully remediated more than 8,000 square feet of surface area.

AAC's experienced professionals completed the project in just four weeks, allowing the property owner to maintain tenant occupancy while preparing the elevator spaces for a full renovation ahead of the Fall 2026 semester.
